Meditation: Riding the Waves to a Brighter Horizon

Meditation helps you see and trust life’s spiritual flow, guiding you out of the storms of confusion toward clarity, peace, and a deeper sense of connection.
First and foremost Meditation is a way to become a good friend with your mind. To learn to guide your inner voice so it nourishes and uplifts you.

Meditation is deeply personal—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. For some the goal is to find a sense of peace, for others it is getting energy and motivation or simply spiritual growth.
The goal can change over time as well and you will learn to adjust your style depending on your need.

Whatever your goal, I’ll guide you through personalized techniques like visualizations and mind journeys to align with your life’s current season.

My journey began with Zen meditation at my father’s Karate Dojo in 1982 and has since deepened through the practice of Raja Yoga Meditation in India and many years teaching in Japan, Hawai’i and Europe. Even a few minutes a day can transform your inner world—let’s find the practice that works for you.

The goal of meditating is different for each person and can even change each day. When I teach, my intention is for you to reach your ultimate ability to function spiritually and mentally and for you to get energized with a sense of lightness or even bliss and find an unending source of love. I will use different topics depending on your need, provide a guide for your improved inner conversations, use visualizations, mind journeys, and various focuses for your mind to gradually mature and progress.

My love for meditation started with Zen practice in 1981, which I learned at my father's Karate Dojo for six years. When I moved to fast-paced Tokyo, I needed something more. So I studied and tried every form I could find, and through a series of visions, I finally found the Raja Yoga meditation, yoga for the mind, and 'self-sovereignty. I continued to study and practice this form in India and the UK, taught for ten years, and ran one of the centers in Tokyo. Invariably this form will strongly influence the way I teach you as well.

To create a strong foundation for my meditation, I took three months off in 1998. During those three months, I meditated for eight hours a day, studied, and practiced applying meditation practice in daily life. To avoid external influences and distractions, I chose not to see anyone or go anywhere during these months. This separation enhanced my visions and intuitive inner navigation. Of course, you don't need to take time off to this extent. Still, I recommend setting aside some dedicated time every day, even if 5 minutes, to create your foundation and build meditation into your lifestyle. I will share the discoveries from my experience that might be useful for you too.

If nothing else, I am here to listen to your aspirations and chat about the benefits and dos and don'ts when meditating, according to my experience. Together we can find a form that suits you and send you on your way towards an uplifting path, making good friends with your mind and spirit. I wish you the very best in discovering the joy of meditation.
