About Meditation.

Every individual's need and level of experience in meditation are unique; therefore, I don't teach cut and paste formulas. Although my style might be unique and different than what you may be used to. I will help you assess where you are at, evaluate your needs, and customize a guide for you.

It is important to meditate in an honest, personalized way, according to the need of the time in your life. For example, suppose you force your mind to fit into a particular system and style of meditation. In that case, you might eventually have the opposite effect as your genuine thoughts and feelings will be suppressed - you may find that you veer from your intention or get bored. So, to get to the stage of meditation that suits you, you first need to know how your mind works and know your personal preferences and intentions. I will help you assess this too.

The goal of meditating is different for each person and can even change each day. When I teach, my intention is for you to reach your ultimate ability to function spiritually and mentally and for you to get energized with a sense of lightness or even bliss and find an unending source of love. I will use different topics depending on your need, provide a guide for your improved inner conversations, use visualizations, mind journeys, and various focuses for your mind to gradually mature and progress.

My love for meditation started with Zen practice in 1981, which I learned at my father's Karate Dojo for six years. When I moved to fast-paced Tokyo, I needed something more. So I studied and tried every form I could find, and through a series of visions, I finally found the Raja Yoga meditation, yoga for the mind, and 'self-sovereignty. I continued to study and practice this form in India and the UK, taught for ten years, and ran one of the centers in Tokyo. Invariably this form will strongly influence the way I teach you as well.

To create a strong foundation for my meditation, I took three months off in 1998. During those three months, I meditated for eight hours a day, studied, and practiced applying meditation practice in daily life. To avoid external influences and distractions, I chose not to see anyone or go anywhere during these months. This separation enhanced my visions and intuitive inner navigation. Of course, you don't need to take time off to this extent. Still, I recommend setting aside some dedicated time every day, even if 5 minutes, to create your foundation and build meditation into your lifestyle. I will share the discoveries from my experience that might be useful for you too.

If nothing else, I am here to listen to your aspirations and chat about the benefits and dos and don'ts when meditating, according to my experience. Together we can find a form that suits you and send you on your way towards an uplifting path, making good friends with your mind and spirit. I wish you the very best in discovering the joy of meditation.
